Hi Corvette Fans,

why would I do that, isn't the Z06 more important? Well, it's
a hard choice, true. This is my 2nd Corvette, and I'll have a
3rd, a 4th, and 5th I'm sure. The Z06 is an amazing car and

I drive this car on the weekends in
California along

I carefully selected the right dealer who
knows Corvettes. I checked the big outfits in CA, TX,
and NJ. If you buy in California, you need to
know the "market rate" for a Corvette. Notice
this vette came with a market adjustment tag of $9,995 above
retail. (Don't worry, I didn't pay it so neither will
you.) |

Unlike any other car you've driven in the
past, you'll grow to appreciate the high-tech traction
control and active handling system in this Z06.
This system will allow you to drive the car to the limits
and not loose control. |

- Why are you selling? I'm starting a new
business and need the equity in my portfolio. I'll buy
another Z06 after my business deals are done.
- When did you buy the car?
October 12, 2001.
I ordered the car in June 2001 and waited 5 months for it.
I debated about buying a the 385hp 2001 edition and decided
the 405hp 2002 edition was worth waiting for.
- Why should I consider this car? 1.) A
black-on-black Z06 is for serious
Corvette owners. It's the most prized and photographed
color choice and interior. If you've ever been shopping
for Corvettes, you know this exact style is hard to come by
(sold out or special order only). Again, this vehicle
was on order for 5 months. 2.)
Don't buy a normal vette when you can drive a Z06 -
do your homework - a
Z06 is a world class car.
- Is this car really perfect? Close, there is a
minor scratch on the front right wheel. A1/8" nick in the
front left wheel. One of the tires had a nail in it and was
properly repaired by a Goodyear dealer who knows vettes.
This vette was garaged since day 1 and is nearly perfect
otherwise. No door dents, rock chips, or paint damage of
kind. Interior is perfect – no greasy or slimy spray on
chemicals used, no fragrances, and
no smoking
permitted within a 100 feet of this car.
-
What else
about this particular car ? This car 100% factory -
every imaginable ownership detail is preserved. Even the
protective decal on the radio face plate remains intact. The
owner's manual, owner's video tape, spare keys, and factory
sticker are here for you. No body decals, decorative
additions, or dealer badges - not even a license plate frame.
- Any maintenance records? Yes, and no.
Yes, I would give them to you, but no there aren't any
because of the low mileage and no problems.
- Has the oil been changed? Not yet, the mileage is
far below the recommended 7,500 mile oil life.
- Any issues? No, this car lives up to the
quality awards GM has been getting for the Corvette. My
'92 vette doesn't compare to this '02 vette for quality.
No rattles, air-leaks, window binds, or tapping valves.
This is a quality car - that's why I bought it.
- Where have you driven the car? Silicon
Valley, San Francisco, Napa, Highway 1 - that's about it.
No road trips to Bowling Green or anything like that.
- How have you driven the car? Like a Corvette,
firm. I'm 40 years old and this is my second Corvette.
No racing, tracks,
or tire smoking
recklessness.
A smart buyer will
examine the tire wear - this car has good tread life
for the mileage. I suppose the computer also
records max speed - I've had it to 125mph once, over 100mph a
few times, and from 0 to 60mph in less than 5 seconds many
times. I'm not in to max speed - it's stupid. I
drive it for the power, cornering, and to keep my driving
technique "dialed-in".
- Has the car been in the rain? Yes, a few
times. Each time was just unavoidable. However,
this car lives in Silicon Valley
(300+ days of sunshine a
year).
- What about the tires? Yes, one of the tires
got a nail in it - one repair. The reason why you need
to know this is because Goodyear recommends a maximum of 2
repairs per tire. The tires are Goodyear F1 Super Car
tires.
- What about sound system? I don't listen to it
much. Instead, I listen to the motor and pipes - that's the
music - 405hp sings.
- Can I take a test drive? Absolutely not, no
way, forget it - no joy rides. Not even my best friends have
driven this car. You better be sure you want a Z06
- if not, that's what dealers are for...
I will make an exception only to the one serious buyer who
is about to write me a check.
- Can I have a mechanic/dealer check the car?
Yes, if you're from out of town and can't see the car
yourself. We can make arrangements to have a
broker/dealer inspect the car before you arrive or before the
car is shipped. A $100 deposit plus proof of
insurance will be required to
screen out tire kickers. You can also do a
background search on the Internet for the VIN - it will be
clean.
- Any additions or modifications?
Absolutely not! I
value the "factory" package
exactly "as-is".
- What if I am a dealer/broker? If you are
dealer/broker looking for buy this car on wholesale and resell
it - please do not call, you are wasting your time and mine -
I don't need to sell it that bad.
